Dr. Smith Snehal Sute is a young dynamic board certified Ophthalmologist, fellowship trained Refractive and Cataract Surgeon with a flair for quality patient care and clinical research. Dr. Sute has presented his research at international conferences such as ESCRS 2020, APAO 2023 and has won numerous awards for free paper and poster presentations at various conferences. At the 82 nd Annual Conference of All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOC Kolkata 2024), he received the awards for “Best Poster Podium Presentation in Refractive Surgery” as well as “Best of the Best”. He was conferred the esteemed “Fellow of All India Collegium of Ophthalmology” in Refractive Surgery sub-speciality at the 81st AIOC Kochi 2023, where he was also bestowed upon the prestigious “International Ophthalmic Hero of India” award for the third consecutive time in a record hat-trick. At the 80 th AIOC Dreamcon Mumbai 2022, his work on “Eyecryl Toric IOL” also fetched the “Best of IJO (Indian Journal of Ophthalmology)” award. He was an invited faculty at the Winter IIRSI 2024 conference held at Amritsar. He has authored & co-authored publications in esteemed international peer reviewed indexed journals. such as Journal of Refractive Surgery (JRS), Journal of Ophthalmology, Clinical Ophthalmology, Open Ophthalmology Journal, Global Journal of Cataract Surgery and Research in Ophthalmology as well as in Indian Journal of Ophthalmology (IJO). He has a special interest in newer tools in diagnosis and management of dry eye, advanced imaging techniques in refractive surgery & keratoconus, refractive surgery with simultaneous collagen crosslinking, femto-second laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS), premium intraocular lenses (IOL’s), and clinical research.
