Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, a leading network of eye care centers in India, has expanded into Kakinada with the opening of its new facility in the city. Mr. Kandula Durgesh, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh has inaugurated the new hospital here today. The guests of honor who took part in the inauguration included: Mr. Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao (Konda Babu) Garu, Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Kakinada City Constituency, and Mr. Pantam Venkateswara Rao (Nanaji) Garu, Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Kakinada Rural Constituency, Mr. Nimmakalyala Chinnarajappa, Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Peddapuram Constituency.

The new hospital, situated at Bhanugudi Junction in a spacious 9,200 sq ft area, boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has been specially designed to provide comprehensive eye care and ensure efficient diagnosis and treatment. To celebrate the inauguration, the hospital is providing free consultations to all, in our Kakinada facility, until August 31, 2024.

Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital in Kakinada will serve as a comprehensive solution for all eye care needs. It features state-of-the-art equipment, including a modular operation theatre with a viewing gallery, specialised units for cataract, refractive, pediatric, and corneal care, an advanced optical display, and an on-site pharmacy.In his inaugural address, Mr. Kandula Durgesh said, “I am happy to inaugurate Dr. Agarwal’s new hospital in Kakinada. With rising eye issues like dry eyes and myopia affecting people of all ages, especially schoolchildren, this modern facility is crucial. I would like to point out that Andhra Pradesh’s eye care infrastructure is among the best in India, with government hospitals introducing advanced technologies and treatments. The government is also rolling out programs to enhance eye care services. Hospitals like Dr. Agarwal’s align with our goals of expanding and improving eye care, and we must work together to increase awareness and accessibility, particularly in rural and underserved areas.”
